    The plant will be shipped inside its nursery pot and sealed with plastic wrap. It will be wrapped in a kraft paper sleeve, and cushioned with filled airbags, loose paper, or other protective shipping materials - all in the hopes of keeping your plant as safe as possible!

    Custom gift packaging and gift notes can be requested.

    All your information is kept private until further notice. We are registered with the Canadian Federal government for non-profit organization status, and in the future, we may apply for charity status to accept donations and issue tax receipts. This may require us to gather certain information such as your name and address. We'll keep you posted.

    If I order plants, how will my items be packaged?

    We are relatively new, we have carefully chosen to use new sustainably-produced corrugated cardboard boxes and packing paper made in Canada. We are mindful of the impact of packaging materials on the environment boxes, so we will also use clean used boxes as they become available. Plants are wrapped in a folded kraft paper. Delicate plants will be protected with excelsio, raffia filling, or bubble wrap.

    When do you ship?

    We aim to ship plants based on the scheduled standard. Orders may ship Monday to Thursdays. For transit times of 4 days or longer, we will aim to send these out on Mondays or Thursday only, to prevent plants from sitting over the weekend in the post station unnecessarily.

    All orders are shipped by Canada Post Expedited Parcel, or Xpresspost, by default. Etsy indicates flat parcel rate which is a slower transit time. Most orders arrive between 1-7 days depending on your location.

    If there’s anything you'd like to ask or request you before preparing your order, don't hesitate just message us (shipping requests, combined shipping, gifts requests and notes, local deliveries).

    Do you have a local pickup and/or delivery?

    Local pickups in Montreal are free of charge!

    Use coupon code FREEPICKUP at checkout to indicate no delivery charges. Then contact us to schedule a pickup time at our downtown location, 1800 avenue McGill College (next to Leaves House Cafe)!

    Can I reduce the cost of shipping on multiple items?

    If you purchase multiple items, we will calculate a reduced shipping cost for one combined shipment which is much less estimated by Etsy at checkout (usually one box). You will receive a refund of the overage within one business day.

    What are you raising funds and how does my purchase help?

    When you make an order with us, you are helping our initiatives to support and provide public community garden green space initiatives across Canadian cities and towns. We are also assembling a team that will run our open-to-community garden and greenhouse that will supply some of our plants. The garden will be open to the public to access, enjoy the plant collection, and participate in gardening and mindfulness classes.

    I placed an order, but I'd like to add another item and combine shipping.

    No problem, if it hasn't already shipped, you can use coupon code COMBINESHIP and check out the items you want to add. No shipping charges will appear and we will send them out with your other order(s). You can also make the additional order with all the items and we will refund the original order.

    Can we select UPS, FedEx or Purolator delivery?

    Yep! It's not integrated into the checkout system, but you can add the item which upgrades your shipping cost by about $9. It usually covers the cost. Just sent me a note or give us a call if you want to clarify for larger orders. We can provide the estimated price and delivery timeframes for you. We receive up to 90% discounted rates for FedEx, UPS, Purolator.

    What happens if they don't show up in a good state?

    No worries, we will always do our best to make it right. Let us know how they are looking because we're here to help. Our focus is spreading happiness!

    If the plants arrive not in good condition, let us know and we will help you with an exchange or replacement. If we don't have stock, we may send you a refund. If the plants were damaged during transport, please help us by sending photos of the plant and/or box. It will make it more possible for us to issue a refund.

    We are not able to guarantee the health of the plants, particularly if there are significant delays or transit times more than 3 days. We'll do our best, but please expect that your plants will be affected by being placed in a dark box and experience movement.
